14th of February 2007 - Valentine's Day
It's seven o'clock Siennicka Street - historical place where the mother of Sybillianismus has lived for 11 years and knew all the pavements and pathes so well. A comfortable silver van is taking us on our trip to Upper Silesia.
Czestochowa - first important stop on our way not counting the minor stops to have a drink or a sandwich. The initiator of these lazy moments was a man Wojtek, our driver and a funeral director by profession. Keen not to give him "extra work" we were not in a hurry.
We paid tribute at the shrine as true Poles should. We were surprised to find there were lots of bars, tea-shops and book-shops with a funny name of Claromontana. Well, we are not very educated in the meaning of places.

The shafts of the coal mines , the sceletons of the old steelworks, the landscapes taken from the pictures of Beksinski.

We are at lastin Upper Silesia. The town Piekary is first of all famous for its shrine
of The Mother of Piekary. Even though from historical point of view it is all gone this very place has sentimental meaning for Silesians. We are going around Calvary in a beautifull hilly area with lots of little chapels. It is making a great impression on us. Behind the church a pearl of Silesian Architecture - a beautiful house with balconies and lots of little figures on the houses.

The great moment came. We reached the Culture Centre "Andaluzja" It means that our sybillinismus is taking on a European flavour. The name of the coal mine comes from the names of the daughtres of the Coal Mine Director in the German Times - Anda and Luisa. But there is another hypothesis that his wife was Spanish. Our Sybilla, full of Spanish temperament knew what sge was doing wearing red as the Spaniards would do.
At the beginning of the evening The Director of The Culture Centre made a speech introducing us to our naive painters, their artistic achievements - and from time to time Sybilla with a great sense of humour commented on something. Our second hero, Michal was
standing nearby but his marvelous pictures spoke for themselves.

In the Andaluzja Cultural centre was always a wordly atmosphere. There were lots of photoes of famous jazzmen and blues stars
on the walls accompanied by the naive paintings of Sybilla and Michal so called the son of sybillianismus. At the wall was a mixture of different kinds of arts - full of different kinds of arts - full of Angels and Nudes.
And the artists were deeply involved in the discussions on the atrs.

"Three Gracias" - friends of Sybilla.

Here we have in the background the picture of Angelus Silesius the patron of the Higher State School where Sybilla works as a lecturer, with her best friend Wanda from katowice who has known here for 40 years and could tell us lots of gossip about her secret life. Also , Andrzej Skupinski, an old friend - an actor and a singer who acted in a film called Angelus directed by Lech Majewski (favourite film of Golec Family). He sang for us the rest of the evening - and Michal hidden behind.

Secret conversation in private

Real art is not afraid of critics. Pictures of Michal Oginski left the spectators spell bound. The strikingly vivid colours were much appriciated.
He is a very gifted young man.
Bravo Bravissimo.
