Here she is - 12 years
old. This is her first passport photo with her mother. She is going to
visit her grandfather Frank and her mother’s sisters in Aachen.
Her grandfather got to
know that the Beatles were to perform a concert in Maastricht , which is
over the Dutch border near Aachen. She was keen to go with her
grandfather to the concert. However, her aunt ,on learning the cost of
the tickets, (25 marks) forebade them to go, because the cost was the
equivalent to the family’s food budget for a week. Sybilla locked her
self in her room and cried for 2 days. To cheer her up, her grandfather
bought
her 4
cushions . On these were the names and pictures of the 4 Beatles- John,
George, Paul and Ringo. So, every night she slept with a different

ill with pneumonia and lost her job because of this. John helped her by
taking her to a famous squat in Holland Grove, near the Oval station.
